JAI-MEC, a wholly family owned Indigenous business, has been operating since early 2012.


Commencing operations as a diesel fitting company with two employees, servicing a small earthmoving company. Since this time, we have grown with the company now employing a range of trades. Our qualified and experience team include a boiler maker and diesel fitters as well as Machinery hire.


What sets JAI-MEC apart from other Maintenance firms is that our team have grown up in Weipa and the Torres Strait region and have a deep understanding of the land and challenges businesses working in the Cape face. JAI-MEC have the capabilities and contacts to make working in the region easier. Through the provision of high quality of our work, reliability and capability of our team, JAI-MEC services and maintains fleets of trucks and machinery for companies across the Northern Queensland region.


JAI-MEC currently services Rio Tinto – Weipa, Rio Tinto – Amrun, Mapoon, Napranum, Lockhart River, Archer River, Aurukun, and Coen.
